School Based Therapist

Somang is an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor who works with children and adolescents, supporting students in navigating academic, social, and emotional challenges. She helps students manage anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and interpersonal difficulties while building resilience, coping skills, and self-confidence.

Somang has experience in private practice, hospital, and residential program, serving both children and adults. She collaborates closely with families, teachers, and school teams to ensure therapy supports each student’s overall well-being.

Her approach is warm, compassionate, and student-centered, integrating evidence-based methods such as CBT, DBT, Trauma-Informed, and Person-Centered Therapy.

Outside of work, Somang enjoys traveling, exploring new cultures and cuisines, reading, playing board games, and spending time with family and friends.
