Lifon has been teaching for nearly 20 years in various capacities and socio-economic backgrounds. Her teaching career began in Taipei, Taiwan then NYC as a science teacher and then moving into a self-contained classroom. Upon moving to California, she started out as an interventionist for students with autism and worked in EIBI with infants and toddlers. After her training, she transitioned to a different experience with 2nd grade at a Mandarin Chinese bilingual school. At Sand Hill School, she started as a 4th/5th grade teacher and now she has come full circle to teach science again. She was the interim PE teacher for Lower School. In her spare time, she continues with one of her life passions–coaching field hockey and playing when she can. Leaf, aka Ms. H., loves many forms of competition like eating contests, golfing, surfing, and board games.
